CONFERENCE VENUE

The Conference will be held in Kurchatov, Abai Region, Republic of Kazakhstan, at the premises of the Republican State Enterprise “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The conference program includes tours to the “Experimental Field” and “Atomic Lake” sites of Semipalatinsk Test Site (STS), experimental facilities (research reactors – IGR and IVG.1M, Kazakhstan material testing tokamak KTM, etc.), STS exhibition hall. The conference will be held in-person.

CONFERENCE LANGUAGE

Working languages of the Conference is Kazakh, Russian and English.

1. CURRENT TRENDS AND PROSPECTS OF NUCLEAR POWER

2. PROSPECTS OF HYDROGEN ENERGY AND CONTROLLED THERMONUCLEAR FUSION DEVELOPMENT

3. RADIATION ECOLOGY AND MEDICINE

  • Radioecological studies and risk assessment for human and ecosystem
  • Monitoring of the former test sites and other radiation hazardous objects
  • Remediation of territories, exposed to technogenic radioactive contamination
  • Nuclear and radiation technologies in industry and medicine

4. STRENGTHENING THE NUCLEAR NONPROLIFERATION REGIME

  • Elimination of nuclear weapon test infrastructure and consequences
  • Support and strengthening the nuclear nonproliferation regime, minimizing the use of highly enriched uranium in civil sector
  • Monitoring of nuclear tests and its consequences using geophysical methods
  • STS territory for CTBT verification regime capacity building

PAPER ABSTRACTS

The electronic version of paper abstract shall be submitted by August 7, 2023
via e-mail: conf2023@nnc.kz

The abstract should not be longer than 1 page, А4 format (210×297 mm)
with the margins: upper, left, down – 25 mm; right – 15 mm.

Typestyle – Times New Roman in height - 12, single space.

The paper title should be typed with capital letters, below the title – initials and surnames of authors, name of organization, city and state they represent.

The proceedings of paper abstracts will be issued by the beginning of the Conference.

SCHEDULE

September 11, Monday – arrival of the conference participants.

September 12, Tuesday – opening of the conference, sessions.

September 13, Wednesday – sessions.

September 14, Thursday – closing of the conference, technical tours.

September 15, Friday – departure of conference participants.

REGISTRATION FEE

Standard registration fee for the participation is 100 US Dollars in KZT in accordance with MICE rate as of the date of payment.

The fee may be transferred until September 1, 2023 to the operating accounts of RSE “National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
