New Capabilities of Efficient Technological Equipment Application in Nuclear Industry

Three-day workshop was held in the National Nuclear Center on August 20-22 organized for specialists, during which new capabilities of analytical and technological equipment application were reviewed produced by the leading global manufacturers, such as: Netzsch (Germany), Tinius Olsen (England/USA), Tescan (Czechia), Horiba (Japan), Perkin Elmer (USA).

 Official representative of foreign companies in the Republic of Kazakhstan, involved in equipment production meeting the highest global standards, is JSC “LabSet” Company. 

 Opportunity to explore the practical developments, modern production and new technologies was one the main objectives of the workshop.

  Under Working Program of practical work the workshop participants reviewed and studied above ten innovative technologies and topical scientific developments of technologies application in nuclear industry. “LabSet” company specialists made detailed review of methods and devices of thermal analysis and their application in area of nuclear researches.

 During the whole three-day workshop participants got acquainted with modern, Horiba Scientific analytical equipment, XploRa Ramanovsk and LabRam microscopes.

 One of the biggest blocks included review of technical solutions and applications in material science: Profiler spectrometer of glow discharge (best tool of elemental coverage analysis), XGT 7000/7200 x-ray microscope (universal device designed for local elemental analysis), thermal analysis and application of Netzsch (Germany) company equipment for monitoring material peculiarities and scientific researches, interesting decisions of Tinius Olsen company in area of physico-mechanical tests.

 A special interest of specialists from the National Nuclear Center attracted presentation on: “Technoorg Linda Facility for Samples Ion Polishing and Scanning Translucent Electron Microscopy”, as well as technologies of Tescan two-beam scanning electron microscopes used during constructional and functional materials study.

Capabilities of measuring equipment were demonstrated by “LabSet” company specialists during workshop, besides extensive material was presented to listeners upon measuring methods, separate interesting technical solutions and others. Individual blocks of workshop were dedicated to question-answers part and personal consultations for workshop participants.
