Special Unit

         The National Nuclear Center of RK has established a special unit, consisting of qualified professionals – geologists, hydrogeologists, operators of drilling installations, in order to study and evaluate radiation condition of ground water at Semipalatinsk test site. Technical support of the unit makes possible drilling boreholes of various diameter to the depth up to 100 m, to perform ground water and core sampling, and determine hydrogeological and geological properties within the survey area.

         Currently, the specialists perform operations at “Experimental Field” site and eastern part of Semipalatinsk test site.
