Open Session of Scientific-Technical Council

On August 25, 2020 an open session of Scientific-Technical Council of the National Nuclear Center of RK was held by video conference to discuss the results of scientific-technical programs “Nuclear Power Development in the Republic of Kazakhstan” and “Scientific-Technical Support of Experimental Studies at the Tokamak KTM” implementation for 2018-2020.

The session was attended by coordinators of themes and responsible executives from “Institute of Atomic Energy” and “Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology” branches as well as co-executors from RSE “Institute of Nuclear Physics” and RSE “Institute of Geophysical Researches”.

E.G. Batyrbekov, Director General, Chairman of Scientific-Technical Council noted in his opening remarks the importance of the scientific and technical programs under consideration for sectoral science development. The tasks solved within the framework of scientific topics of the programs allow nuclear enterprises to develop and maintain at a high level their competencies in the field of nuclear science and technology, radioecology, geophysics, contribute to the development of international cooperation.

The speakers presented the main work results on each scientific topic of the programs, responded to the questions of scientific and technical council’ members.
Summarizing the discussion of the presented reports, Scientific and Technical Council expressed the opinion that all the planned work was fully implemented at a high scientific level, the results achieved are correspond, and in many cases exceed expectations. The main results of the conducted research have been tested both at the international conferences and in the form of publications in scientific journals included in the Web of Science and Scopus databases, and in the list of publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for publication of the main scientific results.
