Participation in the IAEA Conference on CTF

The National Nuclear Center of RK took part in the International “Fusion Energy Conference” on research in the field of controlled thermonuclear fusion.

The employees of the enterprise presented several reports on the results of research at the Kazakhstani Material Science Tokamak KTM, development of plasma diagnostics methods, research on the first wall materials, on the results of development of the irradiated beryllium reprocessing facility, as well as review report on research in the field of controlled thermonuclear fusion in Kazakhstan was prepared.

The conference was held in a remote format on a virtual platform with the participation of scientists from major research centers and private companies with reports on the latest research results and developments in the field of controlled thermonuclear fusion.

Within the framework of the Conference, virtual tours to the advanced CTF were carried out including a technical tour to the site of the ITER International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor which is currently under construction.
