Results of the ⅩⅩ Conference-Competition for research and development work of young scientists and specialists

The National Nuclear Center of RK summarized results of ⅩⅩ Conference-Competition for research and development work of young scientists and specialists

The Conference was held online from October 06-08, 2021 with the participation of young scientists and specialists from the National Nuclear Centre of RK, the Institute of Nuclear Physics and Semey State Shakarim University.

More than 30 research papers were submitted in three research areas: fundamental, engineering and applied research.

As a result, the following winners were identified:

First place - Kuanysh Samarkhanov, researcher of intra-channel tests laboratory of material science division of the branch "Institute of Atomic Energy" of RSE NNC RK for the work "Emission of Atomized Particles during Excitation of Inert Gas Mixtures by Products of Nuclear Reaction 6Li (n,α) 3H".

Second place:

Mikhail Merezhko, Researcher of Institute of Nuclear Physics for the work of “Peculiarities of Plastic Deformation Localization in Highly-Irradiated Austenitic Steels Revealed by Digital Image Correlation”.

Tatyana Ponomaryova, Specialist of the Group for Radioecology of Agricultural Plants Department of Integrated Ecosystem Research Branch “Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology” of RSE NNC RK for the work “Peculiarities of Cs137 Behavior in “Soil-Plant” System at the Radioactive-Contaminated Territory of STS”.

Third place:

Dina Biyakhmetova, Specialist of Integrated Ecosystem Research Department of Branch “Institute of Radiation Safety and Ecology” of RSE NNC RK for the work of “Electronic-Paramagnetic Resonance of Teeth Enamel of Human in High Doses of Occupational Radiation”

Olzhas Zhanbolatov, Engineer of II Category of Research Laboratory of Thermophysical and Neutron-Physical Characteristics of Irradiated Devices of Branch “Institute of Atomic Energy” of RSE NNC RK for the work “Development of Tools for Calculation of Research Reactors Campaigns”.

Mikhail Shul’ga, Engineer-Geoscientist of I category of Seismic Data Acquisition and Processing Center of the Branch “Institute of Geophysical Research” of RSE NNC RK for the work “Use of Electrical Prospecting in Monitoring of Engineering and Geological Conditions and Poor Geodynamic Processes in Areas of Nuclear Facilities”.

The winners were awarded certificates and diplomas as well as cash awards.
