Workshop on Nuclear Security and Safeguards Project of Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA)

National Nuclear Center of RK participated in the 12th Workshop on Nuclear Security and Safeguards Project of Forum for Nuclear Cooperation in Asia (FNCA).

The Workshop 2023 was hosted by the Office of Atoms for Peace, Thailand, Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT) and Nuclear Safety Research Association of Japan. The Workshop participating countries: Australia, Bangladesh, China, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan.

Country reports on the issues of developments and improvements in the last 2022 year’s nuclear security and safeguards implementation, nuclear security culture and capacity building were presented by speakers.

Representatives of the IAEA, Joint Research Center of the European Commission, Japan Atomic Energy Agency presented a series of special lectures on regional cooperation in nuclear forensics and discussed about good practice on export controls and Additional Protocol.
