Round Table “Cooperation in Area of Material Science for Nuclear Power and Professional Scientific Personnel Training”

Pursuant to the agreements and memorandums in force for cooperation with Kazakhstan higher education institutions, the National Nuclear Center hold a Round Table on the “Cooperation in Area of Material Science for Nuclear Power and Professional Scientific Personnel Training”.

The meeting was attended by Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev), Scientific and Research Center “Surface Engineering and Tribology” and National Scientific Laboratory for collective use Non-profit JSC “EKSU named after S.Amanzholov”, Non-profit JSC “EKTU named after D. Serikbayev”, Laboratory of Technologies of Electrochemical Production “Al-Farabi Kazakh National University”, Department of Technical Physics and Heat and Scientific Center “Material Surface Modification” at Non-profit JSC Shakarim University, JSC “Park of Nuclear Technologies”, Scientific Center “PlasmaScience”, Scientific Center for Composite Materials.

The main purpose of the meeting was integration of academic, university and industrial sciences, development of cooperation in area of material science and professional scientific personnel training.

In the course of the meeting the NNC successful experience was considered while its interaction with higher education institutions in area of joint R&D activity and personnel training, necessary for material issues addressing in nuclear power. Cooperation development issues with higher education institutions in scientific area were discussed as well.
