Technical Meetings in IAEA

The delegation of the National Nuclear Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan conducted a number of technical meetings at the IAEA, where discussed the ongoing work and the results achieved for development of technology for down-blending and utilization of spent nuclear fuel (SNF) of NNC RK research reactors.

IAEA experts highly appreciated the quality of work, correctness of the chosen solutions and achieved scientific results.

Moreover, the delegation visited the Nuclear Engineering Seibersdorf (NES), an Austrian operator for reception, reprocessing and storage of radioactive wastes (RW). During the visit, scientists were introduced with facilities and technologies that currently applied by Austrian specialists as well as methods to assure the radiation safety.
