New fusion material testing laboratory was established in the National Nuclear Center of RK. Laboratory is oriented on experimental studies on testing of small sized prospective structural material samples for thermonuclear reactor and diagnostic equipment of Kazakhstani Material Testing TOKAMAK as well as methodical support of tests to be conducted in tokamak.

As of today a number of experimental studies are carried out in the laboratory. In particular, experimental studies of coating influence on plasma faced material peculiarities under scientific and technical program, as well as diagnostic material testing of Kazakhstani Tokamak equipment within the framework of grant financing under MES RK.
It should be also noted, that leading specialists of the laboratory tightly cooperate with the National Research Nuclear University “MEPhI”, “Plasma Physics” chair with the purpose of experience exchange and conduction of joint scientific and research activities. Results of such activities are actual under International Project on ITER thermonuclear experimental reactor construction.
